Wow! I want to compliment you on two specific points:

1) First, the uniform looks great. You see a lot of people who do Imperial uniforms that don't always fit well, you don't seem to have that problem. In particular, you came up with a very clever way to present the data disc for someone who wouldn't be able to wear a normal human cap.
2) You chose the uniform, I think, of a junior officer rather than a senior or flag officer--at least, I think you did, from the black uniform and blue rank squares--which from what I understand about Star Wars is appropriate, since the Empire is mostly humans ruling over other humans and non-humans. On Earth, actual Empires had colonial or auxiliary troops, with locals serving as junior officers.

I used to do a lot of (earth) uniform cosplay, so I wanted to commend your work here. Great job!

Wow, thank you so much!

The uniform is the work of a tailer in Koh Samui, Thailand. I stepped into his shop with a lot of pictures and detail images. He did a really amazing job and this in just 48 hours and in a very high quality. I just had to correct the front-flap when I went home.
Yes, it is a low-rank-uniform. I didn't want to be a second Thrawn. The imperial army is mainly "human" but I can imagine that there could be some non-humans serving the Galactic Empire in the lower ranks. And I think that they would do some good spy-jobs too. A twi'lek waitress at a rebel-base is much more un-suspicious then a human one ;) (Wink) .

Best wishes from Switzerland

Well, human history backs up your theory: the British used Indian troops all across their Empire, even when India was in a state of revolt, and the Chinese and Roman Empires of antiquity made very successful use of troops of other ethnicities. In more modern terms, our American Empire uses troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in those regions, of course. ;)

That's a good solution--I need to find a Thai tailor somewhere, I guess, since my uniforms don't fit very well (unfortunately!). I'm too skinny to wear them properly! I always wanted to be a TIE pilot in daily uniform (the space suit is too awesome for me!), but I have to settle for surplus Soviet uniforms that are too big for me!
